About me

Hi, I'm Ellie Parkin

When I'm not working, I love to keep active - whether that's running, climbing, or hiking. But pushing my body means I've had my fair share of setbacks, so I know exactly how frustrating it is when you feel stuck operating at half-power.

The thing is, you don't need to be training for a specific sport to feel that way. Whether it's a recent injury slowing you down, nagging shoulders from long desk hours, or an ache that just won't clear up, dealing with constant discomfort is exhausting.

I started Kyome to help close that gap. My goal is to figure out what's actually going on so you can move more comfortably, recover faster, and get back to your normal self.

My approach

Why the pain keeps coming back

If you're constantly stretching or rubbing the exact same spot and the pain keeps coming back… you're chasing symptoms, not the cause.

Think of your body like a suspension bridge. If one cable goes slack, the other cables have to take on double the tension to stop the bridge from collapsing. Eventually, those overworked cables start to fray and ache.

It doesn't have to hurt to heal

A lot of people - especially if they don't consider themselves "athletes" - are secretly put off booking a sports massage because they think it's just 60 minutes of deep, agonising pain. But it's for everybody. My approach is built on clinical science, not just brute force. Here's exactly what to expect from your session:

What to wear

Bring comfortable shorts or gym wear. Before I even touch a muscle, we do a quick movement assessment so I can see exactly how your joints are moving and where the restrictions are.
